LG MANUFACTURED TWO ROBOTS SPECIFICALLY FOR AIRPORTS

Imagine having some robotic fun at your local airport. LG has manufactured two different airport friendly robots – one is the Airport Guide Robot while the other is a Cleaning Robot. The Airport Guide robot assists you with navigating through the busy concourses of the airport. Simply insert your boarding pass and it will direct you to your gate as well as verify your departure time. This technical guide can also respond to voice commands, tell you the weather forecast of your destination, and offer directions in multiple languages including: English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Korean. To top it off there’s a giant display which shows you where to go and if you don’t feel comfortable, the Guide Robot can even walk you to your gate.

The cleaning Robot serves an imoortant task…it wanders around vacuuming Airport debri. Light sensors, cameras and sensor-laden bumpers makes this the ultimate Roomba.

LG has announced the deployment of both robots at Seoul’s Incheon International Airport later this year.
